‘T-shirt Necklace’
Pedestrian t-shirt, double sided tape & glue.
Inspired by the logo on the t-shirt I wanted to explore the circles in my design.
As a tenant at LCBDepot I frequently pop into the Pedestrian Arts Gallery and saw the exhibition advertised…

Lambchop
T-Shirt, Card, Thread, Shower Liquid Caps, Cotton Wool Buds.
I created my little friend during the revision period at university to keep me company when working! Stealing the caps from a number of shower liquid bottles belonging to my friends, I made it my focus to make the piece fully interactive. Give the fella a shake and he’ll make a noise!
I found out about the exhibition through volunteering at the gallery as a Gallery Host.

Pedestrian t-shirt, aida fabric, embroidery cotton, wooden embroidery hoop
I love the colours on the t-shirt, and wanted to do some pretty lettering with them. Couldn’t resist a little play on words either!

Murphy Font.
Scissors, Shirt.
Initially I wanted to create an existentialist shirt contemplating its reincarnation, but decided this was a little too complicated. Inspired by a t shirt indicating something about our personality, I chose to revert this and give the t shirt a personality through a typeface. I am passionate about typography and handmade paraphernalia and incorporated this into my design. The letterforms were formed through errors whilst cutting the fabric, creating a lose, uneven, almost jazz like set of characters.
I found out about the Exhibition through the curator- Michelle Morgan!

Monstrous Assemblage #4
T-shirt, thread, calico, metal wire, toy stuffing
I am a multi-media textiles student and as part of my final year project at Loughborough University I have been making similar structures to this. The idea was originally based around animal horns and their monstrous appearance.
I got involved when I heard about the project through Traverse Creatives, who inform their members of such opportunities.

Title; Recycled ‘Funky Town’
This was made using an old vinyl record and the t-shirt design, and some very strong glue.
I love art, music and collecting records, so wanted to incorporate all three into my piece. The design on the t-shirt itself is of music cables, so felt this idea related well. I stole one of my mums old record (I assumed from the photo on the sleeve it would be a band she wouldn’t listen to anytime soon) and got to cutting and sticking.
I found out about the exhibition through Pedestrian, as I volunteer as a Gallery Host.
